CrossRoads Counseling is located in Buena Vista, Colorado. Buena Vista is a scenic 2½ drive southwest of Denver or a 2 hour drive west of Colorado Springs. The community is small which allows CrossRoads Counseling to offer therapy that is confidential, relaxed, and non-intimidating.

Buena Vista is located in the central mountains of Colorado along the Arkansas River and is surrounded by 14,000 ft mountains. The views in the area are outstanding—hence the name Buena Vista, which means "beautiful view" in Spanish. Buena Vista is often called the Banana Belt of Colorado since generally the winters are mild compared to the Colorado ski areas and the summers are cool compared to the metro cities of Denver and Colorado Springs.

Buena Vista is best known for its outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, backpacking, rockhunting, horseback riding, 4-wheeling, hot springs, as well as white water rafting in the summer and snow skiing, ice skating, sledding and snow-mobiling in the winter. Sites to visit nearby include ghost towns, Salida (rated one of the better small art communities), Leadville (an old mining town), and Breckenridge (a Victorian-looking mountain community). Colorado Springs, Denver, Vail, and Aspen are also within a day's visitation range.
